A thirsty crow
“Roz”
A thirsty crow flew high in the sky,
In search of water, as it passed by,
It searched for hours, and days on end,
But found nothing, to quench its thirst to fend.
It flew over fields and valleys green,
But found no water, to be seen,
It flew over rivers and streams so blue,
But still, no water, its thirst to renew.
It flew over gardens, and homes so grand,
But still, no water, to be at hand,
It flew over cities, and streets so bright,
But still, no water, to take a sip tonight.
Then, it saw a pot, with water inside,
It was too deep, for the crow to abide,
But the crow was clever, with a plan in mind,
It picked up pebbles, and dropped them in, till the water rose to the rim.
And finally, the thirst of the crow was slaked,
It had found water, and its thirst was quenched,
It flew away, with a heart full of glee,
For a clever crow, had found a way to be free.
